Position: Handyman (Future General Manager Potential)
Type: Full-Time
Location: North Scottsdale /Cave Creek, AZ
Compensation: Hourly + Performance Bonuses

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, skilled Handyman ready for more than just fieldwork—a true problem solver who can help build, lead, and grow our team over time. As we expand and bring on new technicians, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and step into a General Manager position. Responsibilities

Handyman Duties:

  • Perform a wide variety of home repairs, maintenance, and improvement tasks (e.g., carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, minor electrical, appliance installations, etc.).

  • Diagnose issues, estimate time and materials, and communicate solutions to customers.

  • Ensure jobs are completed to high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle.

Leadership & Growth:

  • Take initiative in organizing workflow, managing schedules, and prioritizing tasks.

  • Support the hiring and onboarding of new technicians as the team grows.

  • Assist with job estimating, invoicing, and customer service follow-up.

  • Help build operational systems and processes as we scale.

  • Show strong leadership, professionalism, and problem-solving in all aspects of the role.

  • Be ready and willing to step into a General Manager position as the company expands.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in handyman work, residential repairs, or similar trades.

  • Broad skillset: carpentry, drywall, basic plumbing/electrical, painting, installations, etc.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills including upselling customers.

  • Tech-savvy (comfortable with smartphones/tablets, scheduling apps, basic Excel)

  • Able to perform physical labor work including bending, lifting (50+ lbs), and handling tools

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Must possess a valid Arizona ROC license (or be eligible to serve as the company’s qualifying party). Please include your ROC number in your application.

  • Desire and ability to grow into a management/leadership role.

  • Experience leading small teams or projects
